Cake Art 1 - Wilton Method Basic Cake Decorating Course


4 - two hour sessions

For beginners who will learn the fundamentals of decorating tools, icings, stars, writing, figurepiping roses, shell borders, floral spray, leaves, cake preparation, and basic icing methods. Instructors will share practical ideas and experiences. Practice at home, between class sessions is vital to your obtaining a solid foundation in basic Cake Decorating. A Wilton Certificate of Completion will be awarded to those students who attend all sessions.

Cake Art 2 - Wilton Method Advanced Cake Decorating Course

4 - two hour sessions

Review of the basic; concentration on flowers such as Rosebud, Lily of Valley, Chrysanthemum, Violet, Apple Blossom, Victorian Rose, Daisy, Daffodil, Pansy, Primrose, Color Flow work, Basketweaving, Rope borders, Ferns. You will bring a base-iced cake to class for the fourth session to complete the cake with the decorating skills you have learned. A Wilton certificate of Completion will be awarded to those students who attend all four sessions.

Cake Art 3 - Wilton Fondant and tiered Cake Decorating Course
4 - two hour sessions. Prerequisite:  Course 1 and 2

Review of the basics, Borders (Lace and embroidery; stringwork, garland, e-motion, ruffle, Tiered Cake assembly reviewed. Fondant coloring, storing, covering cake, curved hearts piped, Lily, Poinsettia, Petunia, Forget-me-nots, working with a cake divider set. You will complete a fondant covered cake during the class. A Wilton certificate of Completion will be awarded to those students who attend all sessions.

 


Cake Art's Tiered Wedding Cake Decorating and Assembly Course

4 - two hour sessions, Prerequisite:  Course 1 and 2

Concentration on decorating and assembling Tiered Cakes for al occasions! Review of the basics, embellished border, side borders, lacework, figure-piping, lily, petunia, poppy, morning glory, lattice work, filigree, lace points, piping on net, color flow, carnation, sweet pea, tiered cake designing, measuring and dividing cake. A Tiered Cake using Styrofoam Cake Dummies will be completed during the class. Practice at home will improve your skill level. A Wilton certificate of Completion will be awarded to those students who attend all four sessions.

 


Wilton Basic Gum Paste

 

One of the most creative decorating skills can now be mastered by any decorator. Cutter, molds and modern techniques allow the student to achieve professional effect in a relatively short time. These classes will teach the basics of making the paste, tool use, and cutting and molding some of the most popular flowers. the fourth lesson will cover arranging the flowers into bouquets, nosegays and corsages.

Gum Paste II
Prerequisite - basic knowledge of gum paste.

More creative work with gum paste using the 75 piece JEM Cutter Set. Popular and seasonal flowers will be covered.


Wilton Orchid & Quick Rose Bouquets
Prerequisite - basic knowledge of gum paste.

The new Wilton Orchid and Quick Rose Cutter sets will be used in this class. Students will finish a rose cake topper and an orchid arrangement.


Wilton Basic Rolled Fondant

Learn the elegant art of covering a cake with rolled fondant, giving it a perfectly smooth iced surface. Students will also learn to hand mold roses, how to complement the cake with crimping, frills and bead or rope boards.

 


Wilton "Victorian Fantasy" Fondant Class
Prerequisite - basic knowledge of rolled fondant.

Decorate your fondant covered cake with the new Romantic Accents and Classic Accents Mold sets, plus many other techniques.


Buttercream Rose Workshop
Prerequisite - basic knowledge of cake decorating.

For those who need a review or would like to learn different methods of making icing roses. Working with many different petal tips, the student will learn to make miniature to giant roses.


Marzipan

Using this delicious medium this class will teach the molding of fruits, vegetables, flowers and animals. Use for gift boxes, cake decorating or your own holiday treats.


Basic Candy Making

The instructor will show how to mold chocolate, make simple chocolate covered candies, crunches and lollipops. chocolate covered cherries, peanut butter cups, peppermint patties and more will be covered.

Fruit and Vegetable Garnishing

Make your food look as good as it tastes. Learn the keys to successful garnishing - ingredients, tools, techniques, choosing the garnish to compliment the dish and how to store until you are ready to use them.


Wilton Cookie Bouquet

Make a deliciously edible cookie blossom centerpiece. class will cover baking, decorating, and arranging. Great gift for birthdays, baby showers, graduations or almost any occasion.


Wilton Sugar Molding (Panoramic)

Learn to mold and decorate hollow sugar ornaments for centerpieces, party favors, cake decorations and special treats. Lessons will correspond to season:  egg, heart, pumpkin, Christmas ball, wedding bells.


Gingerbread House

Surprise your family and friends with a gingerbread house you've made and decorated yourself. This is a special two lesson class in baking, constructing and decorating this wonderfully easy treat.
